Quality Control
Every Piece. Every Time. No Exceptions.Quality is Not a Final Step — It's Built In
At Santoshi Stone, quality control is not something that happens at the end of production before shipping. It is embedded at every stage of our process — from the moment raw stone enters our facility to the moment a packed container leaves our gate.
Our dedicated QC team operates independently from the production floor, ensuring there is no conflict of interest between output volume and output quality. Speed never overrides standard.
We operate with one simple principle: if we would not install it in our own home, it does not leave our factory.
Our 5-Stage QC Process
Quality is checked at five distinct points — before, during, and after production. No stage is skipped, regardless of order size or delivery urgency.
Raw Material Selection
Quality begins at the quarry. Our team inspects raw stone blocks before they enter production — checking for structural integrity, colour consistency, and freedom from natural fissures that would compromise the finished product.
In-Process Checks
During cutting and finishing, our QC team conducts regular sampling checks — catching dimensional drift or finish inconsistency before it affects the full batch. Problems found early cost far less than problems found at the end.
Piece-by-Piece Inspection
Every single finished piece is individually inspected — measured for length, width, and thickness; assessed for surface finish quality; checked for colour consistency against the approved reference sample; and examined for structural soundness.
Pre-Packing Sign-Off
Before any piece enters the packaging area, it must carry a sign-off from our QC supervisor. This creates a clean accountability trail — every approved piece is traceable, and no piece can bypass inspection and enter a packing crate.
Packing Supervision
Our QC team supervises the packing and container loading process — verifying quantities, confirming packaging is correct for the stone type, and ensuring the final order matches exactly what was approved and invoiced.
Six Point Inspection
Dimensions
Length, width, and thickness measured against client specification tolerances. Calibration verified across the full batch — not just random sample pieces.
Surface Finish
Finish quality and uniformity assessed across every piece — ensuring the entire batch meets the same standard as the approved pre-production sample.
Colour Consistency
Each piece compared individually and as a batch against the approved reference sample. Colour variation permitted only within accepted natural limits.
Structural Soundness
Visual and tactile inspection for cracks, fissures, fragile edges, and weak spots that could fail under load or during installation.
Edge Quality
Edge finish inspected for clean cuts, consistent profiles, absence of chipping, and correct execution of any specified edge treatment or profile.
Spec Compliance
Final cross-check against the original purchase order — stone type, finish, dimensions, quantity, and packaging all verified before container loading begins.
