At Santoshi Stone, being active in this trade in the Budhpura region means assuming a great deal of responsibility — on issues like child labour, illiteracy, health, and environment. We do not treat these as compliance requirements. We treat them as the foundation of how we operate.
We keep records of all workers and their ages, ensuring no child is employed at any stage. We actively pursue parents to send their children to school rather than bring them to the workplace. We are associated with the Stone Welfare Foundation and multiple NGOs, and we maintain a charitable fund from company profits dedicated to the welfare and education of deprived children.
No Child Labour
Absolute zero tolerance — at our yard, factory, and all procurement sources. Certified & audited.
No Forced Labour
All wages paid directly to bank accounts. Workers free to leave. No coercion of any kind.
Health & Safety
PPE for all workers, first aid kits, separate toilets, accident insurance, free medical camps.
Reasonable Hours
Structured, fair, and fully compliant with Indian labour law. Voluntary overtime only.
What We Provide at Our Workplace
These are not promises — they are documented, photographed, and independently verified facilities that Santoshi Stone maintains at its Budhpura factory and yard every single day.
Children's Playground
A designated playground area is provided at the worksite for children who come with their parents to the workplace — with swings, slides, and play equipment. Children play safely while parents work.
Separate Toilet Facilities
Proper, maintained toilet facilities are provided separately for men and women — clearly marked and kept clean at all times. Sanitation is treated as a basic right, not an afterthought.
First Aid Kit
Fully stocked First Aid Boxes are installed in every department and at the yard. Each kit is maintained with up-to-date supplies and accessible to all workers at all times without restriction.
Potable Drinking Water
Safe drinking water is available throughout the factory and yard under the Safe and Clean Water Programme. A dedicated rest room and lunch area is also provided for all workers.
Movable Shades for Workers
Portable, movable shade structures are provided across the open yard so that workers processing cobbles and stone in outdoor areas are protected from direct sun — especially during Rajasthan's intense summer heat.
PPE — Protective Equipment
All workers are required to use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) during work — including gloves, dust masks, and appropriate protective clothing. PPE is provided by the company and its use is actively enforced.
Biometric Attendance
A biometric fingerprint attendance system is installed at the factory entrance — ensuring accurate, tamper-proof records of all workers' attendance, hours, and identity verification.
Direct Bank Payment
All worker wages and advances are paid through a transparent direct bank account system — ensuring workers receive their full payment directly, with no deductions, no middlemen, and no room for exploitation.
Water Filter Distribution
Under our Safe and Clean Water Programme, water filters are distributed to workers and community members around our site — ensuring access to clean drinking water beyond the workplace.
No Child Labour — Active Policy
Our zero child labour commitment is not a policy document — it is an active, daily practice enforced at every level of our operations and supply chain.
Within Our Yard
No child is employed at our factory or yard in any capacity. Age verification using government-issued ID is conducted for every worker at the point of hire. Records of all workers and their ages are maintained and available for inspection at any time.
At Procurement Sources
Our active policy extends to all homework sources, sub-suppliers, and cobble procurement locations. Any vendor or partner who cannot demonstrate child labour compliance is not a vendor we work with — no exceptions.
School Enrolment Drive
We actively pursue parents to send their children to school rather than bring them to work. Through our partnership with Bhagya Laxmi Motivation Center (Manjari Sansthan), we have enrolled 28 children in government schools — with a certified record from Manjari Sansthan.
Children's Play Area
For children who accompany parents to work, a designated, fenced playground area is provided at the site — with swings, slides, and a merry-go-round. Children are safe and supervised while parents complete their shifts.
Accident Insurance
All 36 workers are covered by Group Personal Accident Insurance through Shriram General Insurance Company Limited — with a sum insured of ₹2,00,000 per worker. This is renewed annually and covers all staff equally.
Beyond the Factory — Into the Community
Santoshi Stone's responsibility does not end at our gate. We are actively involved in the Budhpura community and working to address the broader challenges that come with being a major employer in a rural area.
- Stone Welfare Foundation — We are associated with the Stone Welfare Foundation and local NGOs working on child welfare, education, and health in the Bundi district.
- CSR Charitable Fund — A dedicated fund financed from company profits is used to provide support for deprived children and send them to school.
- Free Medical Camps — We organise free medical consultation and vaccination camps for workers and community members — with doctors, diagnostic equipment, and medicines provided at no cost.
- Water Filter Programme — Water filters distributed to families around our site under a Safe and Clean Water initiative, improving daily health outcomes in the community.
- Motivation Center — Through Bhagya Laxmi Motivation Center (Manjari Sansthan certified), 28 children from our workforce's families have been enrolled in school.
